A Little Reminder That We Live In The Northwest.

So...we knew we were spoiled by the nice weather over Spring Break...and that eventually the rain would come...well, today it came and it came in full force. By the time we got to the house today the plastic that had previously covered it was ripped to shreds. So, we spent our weekend re-covering the the tiny house and working on the exposed wood beams.

We start the day off right.

First we brush down the wood to remove the grit

Next we sand down the boards

The cleaned up boards

Today we decided to build a fort. It took a couple of tries - the first time we got the tarp across it the wind came by and blew it off. The ends are all tied together underneath the trailer.

Then the rain hit.

Contrast between the treated and untreated wood.

Now they will wait until we can treat them again.
