Going into this project Ben and I were interested in using salvaged/re-purposed material. Little did I know what the cost of salvaged wood was. However, we are still pursuing as much salvaged material as possible. Today we drove out to Forest Grove to purchase re-claimed barn lumber flooring and beams.

Today we sorted through and stacked our own lumber (weeding out the moldy and warped boards). Small a part as it was, it was neat to be actively involved in this part of the process.
